Talasani denies misappropriation of funds in sheep procurement

Hyderabad, March 13(INN):Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday denied any misappropriation of funds in the procurement of sheep meant for distribution among poor Golla and Kurma community members.
He was replying to a question listed by Congress MLAs S.A. Sampath Kumar, Dr. G. Chinna Reddy, T. Jeevan Reddy and D.K. Aruna during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly. However, due to suspension, none of the Congress legislators were present in the House. As per the procedure, the question should have been postponed as the members who raised the question were not present in the House. However, Talasani argued that once the Question is table in House, it becomes the property of the House and could be replied.
The minister also denied that the sheep which were supplied to the beneficiaries were being recycled by the officials and distributed to other beneficiaries. He said only six cases have been noticed where recycling took place and police cases have been booked. (INN)
