Congress opposes 'Bathukamma' funds for Kavitha's NGO

Hyderabad, Sept 27 : TPCC Mahila presient Neeraja Sharada has demanded that the State Government provide funds meant for celebration of Bathukamma festival directly to all villages, instead of giving the same to Telangana Jagruthi, the NGO of Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha.
Speaking to media persons here, Sharada said that Telangana Jagruthi did not submit expenditure details of Rs. 10 crore which was given to the NGO for the last two years. She accused Kavitha of collecting huge funds in the name of Bathukamma celebrations and other activities. She also demanded probe into the funding of Telangana Jagruthi.
The Congress leader also informed that Bathukamma celebrations will be organised at party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan on October 1. (INN)
