Deputy CM participates in 'Swachh Hyderabad' programme

Hyderabad, May 18 : Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali participated in "Swachh Telangana - Swachh Hyderabad" programme at Osmanpura near Kattelguda here on Monday.
The Deputy CM was accompanied with the local TRS leaders, officials of GHMC, Revenue, Electricity, HMWSSB and other departments. He visited door to door and explained the people about the importance of cleanliness in their surroundings. He also instructed the GHMC authorities to continue the sanitation programme in the localities and keep the roads and streets clean while ensuring proper maintenance of other civic amenities.
During the visit, people have made representations to the Deputy CM on shortage of drinking water. A few people also urged Mahmood Ali to provide housing to the poor. Responding to the pleas, he assured the people that borewells would be drilled and the shortage of drinking water would be curtailed soon.
