Hyderabad, April 10:The State government will soon launch T-Web, a one-stop website for information pertaining to all government departments and services provided by them.
Announcing this at a review meeting with Information Technology department officials here on Monday, Chief Secretary Dr SK Joshi said the portal would have department profiles, services provided, schemes and other details on a single platform.
The government was planning to appoint web information managers to maintain this website, who will help departments upload and update information on the T-Web website. Explaining the salient feature of the new website, IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said it would also review all the department websites and give ratings. The IT Department, based on inputs provided by various departments to the website, will give awards for best performers.
Joshi said the government would soon frame special guidelines for updating and management of government websites. "At present, 265 websites pertaining to government and other agencies are under operation and these will soon be developed into mobile-friendly websites and will also be linked to social media," Joshi said.
He said plans were afoot to develop a separate dashboard to know real-time data related to hostels, hospitals, progress of 2BHK houses, KCR Kits, human resources, anganwadis, ration shops, infrastructure of various departments and more. "People can easily know the status of various applications besides complete details of department through the new dashboard," he said.
The Chief Secretary congratulated the Municipal Administration Department for providing online citizen services in an effective manner. He directed General Administration Department Principal Secretary Adhar Sinha to take steps for developing the new dashboard. He also wanted all the Heads of Departments (HoDs) to give special focus on synergy and performance indicators.
Special Chief Secretary Ajay Mishra, Principal Secretaries Somesh Kumar, Parthasarathi, Shantha Kumari, Shalini Mishra, Arvind Kumar, Sunil Sharma, Vikas Raj, Jayesh Ranjan, RV Chandravadhan, Secretaries of various departments and CMO officials participated in the review meeting.
