State allots land for Videsh Bhavan

Hyderabad, Mar 10:The State government on Friday allocated two acres of land for the construction of Videsh Bhavan at Madhapur and Khanamet villages of Serillingampally mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
A government order to this effect was issued by the Revenue Department. The Ministry for External Affairs had accorded approval for setting up a Videsh Bhavan in the State Capital to serve as an integrated complex of all the MEA offices located in a capital city, with a view to promoting functional synergy among these offices.
Earlier, MEA officials met Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and discussed the need to have a Videsh Bhavan in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister wanted a start-of-the-art Videsh Bhavan and directed officials to take necessary steps in this regard.
