Hyderabad, Nov 5: Mohammed Pahelwan and his family members accused in the Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case filed a Special Leave Petition in Supreme Court; consequently the Apex Court has issued notice to state government. After his bail was cancelled by the High Court on August 22 this year, Mohammed Pahelwan filed SLP in Supreme Court which is followed up by ex-minister and senior advocate Supreme Court, Mr. Salman Khurshid. The 2-member bench of Supreme Court comprising of Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar and Justice Irwin Mishra after listening to the argument of senior advocate issued notice to the Telangana government. In its orders Supreme Court directed to link accused's earlier petition with the new petition.
It must be recalled that Justice Raja Elango of Hyderabad High Court had dismissed petition of Mohammed Pahelwan saying that the bail could not be granted in the current situation. Supreme Court of India directed the trial court to complete the trial within a period of six months from the date of receiving its orders.
