RV Karnan reaches out to Rythu Bandu beneficiaries in Mancherial

Correspondent

Mancherial, May 14:The ongoing Rythu Bandhu scheme has not cheered to hapless farmers of an interior habitation of the district, but also helped them in solving their long-pending dream, connectivity to the external world and improved quality of electricity. Thanks to painstaking efforts of Collector RV Karnan in distributing the cheques and pattadar pass books to beneficiaries of one of the most interior habitations of the district.
Karnan along with Bellampalli Sub-Collector Rahul Raj set off to distribute Rythu Bandhu cheques and pattadar pass books to beneficiaries of Jangalpet, Mannegudem and the remote Dammireddipeta villages of Nennal mandal. He could easily complete the job in the first two villages. He had no option but to borrow a two-wheeler in order to reach the isolated the third one as he could not travel on his official vehicle, following lack of a road facility to the habitation.
Carrying Rahul, the IAS officer rode the motorbike for over six kilometer long distance braving the scorching heat. Then, he had encountered another challenge. This time it was in the form of a stream. He was forced to walk on hot sand of the stream as the motorbike could not move ahead. He, however, accomplished his mission by personally handing over cheques and passbooks to beneficiaries mostly belonging to Backward Communities Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), one of the Scheduled Tribes, dwelling in the habitation.
Above all, Karnan, who is known for responding to the needy whenever required, assured to take steps to form a road to the village and uninterrupted supply of power, at the earliest, bringing the much-needed respite to the villagers. He made this announcement when he was trying to learn problems of the tribal people of the sleepy habitation.
