RTA Hyderabad booked cases against 21 private buses

Hyderabad, Mar 3:Cracking a whip against erring private bus operators who were openly flouting the Motor Vehicle norms, the State Regional Transport Authority has booked cases against 21 private buses early on Friday.
The raids by officials were intensified following the possibility of the private bus operators plying more services during the early hours.
"The drive is to take action on all private buses that are violating rules," said M Praveen Rao, Ranga Reddy District Transport Officer.
He said 12 cases were booked by Ranga Reddy RTA and nine cases were booked by Mehdipatnam office.
"As many as 21 cases booked against various private bus operators by our Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVI) near Shamshabad and other outskirts," he said, adding that drivers were not allowed to take the buses till the owner paid the fine.
