KTR asks GHMC to ensure safety at flyover worksites

Hyderabad, May 16:In view of the Varanasi flyover collapse incident, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) engineers to be vigilant and alert with respect to safety precautions.

GHMC is constructing flyovers and grade separators at different areas in the city as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme.

Accordingly, the Minister instructed the GHMC Chief Engineer Sridhar to take stock of all work sites to address any deficiencies or inadequate arrangements on workers safety or road safety like barricades and others.
