Hyderabad, Feb 23:Medexpert Business Consultants has launched the 19th edition of India's largest medical equipment trade fair 'Medicall' scheduled from 23rd - 25th February at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The expo was inaugurated by Dr T Narasinga Reddy, the IMA president of Telangana State.
More than 5,000 products are being displayed in the 19th edition. The trade fair focuses on all the needs of a hospital from surgical cotton to the latest imaging equipment and surgical tools. More than 10,000 medical professionals visited the expo.
While talking about the motivation behind starting this expo, Dr Manivannan S, CEO of Medexpert Business Consultants and joint MD of Kauvery Hospital, a 1,000-bedded Hospital said, "Small and medium sized hospital owners from tier II and III cities cannot afford to have qualified purchase managers. Equipment companies also do not have adequate sale force to meet all these hospital owners. Since I have undergone the difficulty for my hospital, I thought Medicall will bring in all equipment manufacturers under one roof." The event is hosting seminars focusing on themes such as Elderly Care & Gerontology- Changing Medical Practice in India, Master Infection Control through innovation and adaptation, Patient Satisfaction, Unconference - How to choose a Hospital Management Software (HMS) and Survival Strategies for Small & Medium Hospitals.
