Hyderabad Metro's TSavaari comes in handy for passengers

Vishwas News

Hyderabad, April 24:After the initial hiccups and complaints over software glitches, the TSavaari mobile application of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) has started to live up to its promise of making metro travel hassle-free for passengers in Hyderabad. The mobile application was designed as an electronic purse to cater to the travel related needs of regular commuters.
After five months and over 50,000 downloads, the TSavaari has quickly become much-sought after mobile app, as commuters have realised that now they have several travel options, quite literally in their fingertips. Passengers began using the mobile app when the Metro Rail was inaugurated on November 28 last year. However, the app had to face a lot of criticism from users, who complained of errors and software glitches.
The errors, included slow registration process, entering the metro-card number each time to check the balance, unable to display the amount after recharging the card and non-availability of technical persons to redress the issues.
When contacted Anil Kumar Saini, Chief Operating Officer at L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) said that initially there were several complaints regarding usage of the app as most of them were not aware of it. "Yes, there were few technical errors at first, however, we had immediately resolved them.
Now we are hardly receiving one or two complaints and our aim is to make TSavaari, a travel-friendly app without any hassles", CEO said.
Android users have complimented the application for easing the registration process and pointed out that they did not face any issues as mentioned by users when the app was launched initially. Many also praised TSavaari for ease in recharging and also in checking the card balance.
Another user, Sanjuvardhan Reddy said that the design of the app was good, options were incredible and praised the integration of maps to the nearest stations either metro or bus stations.
Officials maintained that TSavaari is a travel itinerary organiser app to assist passengers to commute to any location in the city using any mode of transport. The 'Journey Planner' in the app has many travel options including Hyderabad Metro Rail, local autos, OLA cabs and auto, MMTS and TSRTC buses.
Through OLA integration, the app now allows passengers to book a ride from and to any metro train station within seconds and continue their journey beyond.
