Hyderabad-based UDo will answer all your queries

Vishwas News

Hyderabad, May 24:At a time when there is an increase in human to machine interaction for most of our needs, one Hyderabad-based startup is trying to break this shackle. Whenever we are stuck with any question about any service or product, we most often 'Google it' or turn to applications for the same.
However, what this has done is that it has led to reduction in human-to-human interaction and sharing of knowledge. With this idea in mind, Teja Gudluru launched UDo in April 2017 to reinforce these interactions by use of technology.
Born out of his own personal experience of not being able to find an appropriate answer for a stopover in Singapore while going to Malaysia, Gudluru started working on developing an app that answers anything and everything by making the user talk to an expert and not just text.
"When I Googled about the stopover, I got hundreds and thousands of pages of answers but there was no specific answer to my query. This got me thinking and after working on the idea for about eight months, we launched UDo or what we like to call as Uber for Expertise," Gudluru told Telangana Today.
In the last six months of its pilot stage, UDo has been able to get 20,000 downloads so far and plans to go for a full-fledged launch in July wherein it will be available in both website and app. So, how does it actually work? The user has to download the application and enter any query from any subject or expertise and/or select from the list of experts listed on the app to answer their queries. While on the one hand, the user gets to chat or talk to the experts immediately, on the other side the experts also gets to make money for offering their advice.
Starting from offering legal or any other advice to startups to offering relationship or career advice to individuals, the app covers most of the subject-matter experts. Meanwhile, it also provides flexibility to the experts to on or off their services on the app depending on their availability and also provides them with a second source of income. "My idea is that why should an individual or a company pay for an entire service when they can actually get the advice at a very minimal cost. In addition to answering queries, the app also provides employment for people who are good in their subject but do not have resources to travel to a particular city to offer their services. It will also be helpful for youth from the rural parts of India to learn new things while sitting in the comfort of their home at a minimal cost," Gudluru says, who is a leadership and management trainer.
