Global meet on blockchain in Hyderabad

Vishwas News

Hyderabad, July 27:Following the successful conduct of Global Enterpreneurship Summit and World IT Congress in November last year and February this year respectively, the State government will now host another high profile event- the International Blockchain Congress, in Hyderabad on August 3 and 4. The event will be the largest confluence of regulators, industry experts and technology innovators. The inaugural edition will deliberate on the evolving trends in the developing and use of blockchain for financial and government applications.
The event will be hosted at HICC, which played host to many high profile international events. It is expected to see about 3,000 participants including some from technology protocol agencies.
the event, the State will sign several memorandum of understandings with technology companies and startups, said Telangana Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan at the pre-event conference on Thursday.
Apart from Government of Telangana, the event is co-hosted by Niti Aayog, Government of Goa and Nucleus Vision, a blockchain startup. The last leg of the event will be held at Goa on August 5.
The guests for the event include DFJ Ventures founder, Tim Draper, Niti Aayog Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant, Tech Mahindra Chief Executive Officer CP Gurnani, Manipal Global Association Chairman Mohandas Pai, ICON Foundation Chief Executive Officer Min KIm, Global Community Influencer Ian Balina and others. From the government, Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao and Goa IT Minister Rohan Khanute will attend.
Speaking about the event's agenda, Abhishek Pitti, Chief Executive Officer, Nucleus Vision, said the event is being organised with an objective of bringing leaders, innovators and regulators together, to share their expertise and create a collaborative environment. It will also provide an opportunity to learn and understand the tools, new challenges and solutions through panel discussions and B2B engagement opportunities. The event will also have workshops, hackathons and startup pitching.
"We have seen news about double registration of some properties. We have heard about some officials colluding with conman to create duplicate records. But these will be a thing of past as the government is keen on using new technology that will make creating duplicate documents very difficult, if not impossible," said Ranjan.
