Driver arrested for gadgets theft

Hyderabad, Dec 1 :One Shaik Riyazuddin notorious habitual interstate offender caught by Panjagutta Police and recovered (14) laptops, (16) cell phones all worth Rs About 6 lakhs here on Thursday.
Speaking to scribes A. Venkateshwar Rao, Dy. Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad stated that Shaik Riyazuddin is from peddacheruvu, Narsaraopet town of Guntur Dist and studied up to 10th class, later he was started working as a Car Driver and sometimes he used to drive a goods lorry from one state to other state, and his income was less to satisfy his needs and to spent the luxurious life in hotels and lodges and he was also habituated to alcohol and other bad-habits, due to which he decided to commit theft of cell phones and laptops from the hostels and student rooms, since 2005 he is committing offences and previously .
He was arrested in the Old Guntur PS; Narsaraopet 1 town ( 4 times ); Narsaraopet 2 town (2 times); Narsaraopet rural (1 time); Tenali 3 town; Nagarjunsagar ps of Guntur dist; Kukatpally ps of cyberabad; V.Kota PS of chittor dist; Prakash nagar Ps of Rajahmundry town and Govt Railway police station ,Guntur, said DCP.
The accused person was arrested on Nov 30 and he is being produced before the Court for Judicial Custody, he added
Modus operandi:
Shaik Riyaz hatch a plan and committed the theft of the Laptops and cell phones from the boys hostels and students rooms, he use to take the shelter at Hostel, stay for one day and when he get the chance he commits the theft of the laptop and cell phones of the roommates and escape from the spot.
Appeal to the General Public:
If unknown persons take a shelter at hostel the owners of the Hostel should collect their Identity proofs and cell phone number and if any person is suspected inform to local Police station and also collect his Photo, and the roommates should not believe such persons blindly and should not leave their valuable goods into the room it should be keep into the safe locker.
The house owners, the hostel managements, lodge managers and Hotel Managements should not give the rooms to the unknown persons, without their identity cards and residential proofs, Dy. Commissioner of Police, West Zone A. Venkateshwar Rao appealed.
Award to Cops:
The efforts of the officers and staff are highly appreciated and proposals were being forwarded to C.P. Hyderabad for suitably rewarding them, DCP added.
