2-wheeler fire extinguishers launched

Hyderabad, Oct 27: Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy on Tuesday flagged off a fleet of 100 bikes equipped with fire extinguishers at People's Plaza on Necklace road. The fire tenders equipped two-wheelers are sanctioned as they can rush to places of fire accidents in lanes and by-lanes where the fire tenders are unable to reach early. Home Minister informed that the State government has decided to set up one fire station in every constituency.
Speaking on the occasion Home Secretary Anitha Rajender claimed that two-wheeler Fire tenders would help avert loss of life and property.
State Disaster Response and Fire Services Director General Rajiv Ratan was also present on the occasion.
